My name is Ashley Shoul, and I was born and raised on a small island in the Caribbean called Antigua. Growing up, my favourite outfit was a bikini, and rightfully so, as I spent most of my free time in the sea. The only downside to living on a small, tropical island is that opportunities are very limited. This was a challenge for me as I always wanted to see more and do more.
In pursuit of this, I moved to Toronto in 2010 to attend the Bishop Strachan School as a boarding student for Grades 11 and 12. Upon successfully completing my time there, I moved to Montreal in 2012 to attend McGill University, where I am currently enrolled in the Bachelor of Commerce program as a Labour-Management Relations and Human Resources major.
My desire to keep moving saw new heights when the chance to go on exchange came about. I was always seeking the best opportunities, and I convinced myself that studying abroad was it. I set off for Australia in February 2015 to attend the Australian National University, to explore one of the most incredible countries in the world, and to have some of the greatest adventures of my life.
